Encore is a music notation software product from Passport Music Software. The following lessons are YouTube videos created by Bryce Martens, an Encore user from the San Francisco area. Bryce is a pianist and trumpet player, and is the director of the Royal Court Brass. Lesson 1: Basic notation concepts

This lesson demonstrates some of the basic music notation concepts using Encore. You will see how to enter notes and rests of different duration. You will also see how to enter accidentals.

This lesson shows how to create new scores using the numerous templates that are available in Encore.

Lesson 3: Working with palettes

This lesson demonstrates the various palettes that are in Encore, including notes, clefs, expressions, graphics, and many more.

Lesson 4: Some keyboard shortcuts

This lesson covers some of the basic keyboard shortcuts that are available in Encore. These shortcuts can really speed up note entry and editing.

This lesson demonstrates how to add text elements to an Encore score, including score title, headers, footers, page numbers, and copyright information.

Lesson 9: Staff sheet

This lesson demonstrates how to use the Encore staff sheet to add or edit instruments, select specific instruments for playback, choose the staff title, and choose the General MIDI instrument for each stave.
