The Royal Court Brass was established in 1970 and has been one of Northern California's most popular brass ensembles ever since. The group has performed for more than 600 concerts, weddings, church services, and educational seminars since 1970, playing classical, baroque, renaissance, popular and contemporary music written for brass instruments.

The Royal Court Brass is known for its long-term associations, including 30 concerts (over a 15-year period) with the Loring Club Men's Chorus, numerous concerts with organists Wyatt Insko and Richard Stanley, more than 25 years of holiday performances at Ghirardelli Square, an extensive series of concerts and church services at Trinity Presbyterian Church (San Carlos) since 1985, and performances at the San Francisco Airport Holiday Festival since 1994.

The Royal Court Brass performs in several configurations, including:

  • quartet (2 trumpets, French horn, and trombone)
  • quintet (2 trumpets, French horn, trombone, and tuba)
  • brass choir (mixture of trumpets, French horns, trombones, and tuba)
