The Royal Court Brass was established in 1970 and has been one of
Northern California's most popular brass ensembles ever since.
The group has performed for more than 400 concerts, weddings,
church services, and educational seminars since 1970, playing classical, baroque,
renaissance, popular, contemporary, holiday, wedding, and jazz music written and arranged for brass instruments.

The Royal Court Brass is known for its long-term associations, including:
- 30 concerts (over a 15-year period) with the Loring Club Men's Chorus in San Francisco
- performances at the San Francisco International Airport Holiday Festival from 1994 through 2000
- more than 25 years of holiday performances at Ghirardelli Square and Union Square
- an extensive series of concerts, weddings, and church services at Trinity Presbyterian Church (San Carlos) since 1985
- numerous concerts with organists Wyatt Insko and Richard Stanley
The Royal Court Brass performs in several configurations, including:
- quartet (2 trumpets, French horn, and trombone)
- quintet (2 trumpets, French horn, trombone, and tuba)
- sextet (3 trumpets, French horn, trombone, and tuba)
- brass choir (mixture of trumpets, French horns, trombones, and tubas)
- jazz/pops ensemble (brass plus guitar, bass, and drums)
